Description :
The Golden Club was formed in 1989 to provide a social club for same sex attracted women over 30. Its first gathering was held at the Burnside Town Hall on 27 May 1989. The Club celebrated its first birthday on 26 May 1990 with a fancy dress ball at the Burnside Ballroom.
