Description :

Hindley Street looking west from the eastern side of the Rundle Street - Hindley Street intersection.


This image is by Frederick Robert Nixon (England 1817 - Mauritius 1860) who worked in intaglio etching technique creating many images of early Adelaide. This image features single and double story dwellings and shops. The buildings on the south side of the street have deep verandas extending to the road.
