First page of Irene Bonnin's diaries, with a transcript of extracts from the diaries. Written in 1915, they describe Nurse Bonnin's experiences as an army nurse in Egypt during World War I. Irene Gertrude Bonnin (1884-1971) trained as a nurse at Calvary Hospital, North Adelaide and worked in Egypt, France and England during World War I. |
