Description :

A letter dated 28 April 1945, written by Dorothy Marshall, State Superintendent, Australian Women's Land Army, to Frances Taylor (nee Harvie). In the letter Dorothy Marshall talks about Frances's plans to work at the Adelaide Hospital after her time in the Women's Land Army.

The Australian Women's Land Army was formed in July 1942 to provide labour on farms, as the men left to serve in the armed forces and oyher essential services. It was finally disbanded in December 1945.
