Signor Rago arrived in South Australia early in the 20th century. He lead a band which was available for hire for all occasions and provided special rates for charity functions.
A canzonetta is a musical term for a short cheerful or lively song.
Lady Alice Bray was the wife of Sir John Cox Bray, legal practitioner and Premier of South Australia from 1881-1884.
