Description :

The polka-mazurka was a popular closed couple dance in Australia during the 1860s. The early polka mazurka dance to the 3/4 time combined a simplified mazurka step with a polka like turning step. It was still popular in the late 19th century.

This piece is attributed to Marie Louise Hector.
