Description :

A coloured lithograph of Port Augusta views produced by lithographers Rider & Mercer of Ballarat for the Port Augusta and Quorn Dispatch. In addition to views of places throughout Port Augusta, some of which have been produced from photographs, it also includes two maps and an acknowledgement which reads 'the advertisements on this sheet contracted for by Wellesley A. Parker, Palace Hotel, Melbourne'. This lithograph was published in the Port Augusta and Quorn dispatch newspaper on 28 October 1892.


This lithograph consists of 32 images depiciting scenes and business in Port Augusta.
Some of these include :
Interior and exterior W. Symons shop, general draper and importer, at Commercial Road, Port Augusta.
View of the shop from which George Farr, undertaker, joiner & cabinet maker, worked. The building was located in Commercial Road.
