Description :

The author argues the case for a railway line to the Northwest Bend (Morgan) of the Murray, rather than a line across the river at Murray Bridge. The railway to Morgan at the bend opened in 1878, and despite Laughton's argument against the railway line, crossed the bridge at Murray Bridge as well in 1886, continuing to the Victorian border.
