Description :

The Theosophical Society refer to themselves as 'the original New Age movement'. For over 100 years the Adelaide lodge of the Theosophical Society has run public lectures and seminars, as well as yoga, healing and meditation groups. Members are involved in ecology and conservation, supporting refugee groups, Aboriginal welfare, aged care, and animal welfare. They support charities such as Austcare and Freedom from Hunger, and send delegates to the South Australian Branch of the United Nations and the National Council of Women. This is referred to as the 'order of service' or 'the hands of the Theosophical Society'.
