Description :
The Port Augusta Racing Club was well known throughout the north, particularly for its "Race Week" held each July. The first race meeting in Port Augusta was held on the 29 November 1881.
Silk programmes were more glamorous and more durable than paper programmes, and were a popular option for functions and events in this period.
