Bignell and Young, (later known as Young and Gordon) were merchants of Port Augusta.

Bignell & Young, merchants and forwarding agents, traded throughout the north of South Australia in drapery, groceries and hardware. The partnership was dissolved in 1881. In 1881 Robert Gordon joined the business which became a limited company, Young & Gordon Ltd., in 1920. O.J. Young (1884-1956) was succeeded by Peter Young (d.1987) as managing director. Young & Gordon was sold to Demasius Limited in 1980.
