Description :

The Maitland Football Club, premiers of the Northern Yorke Peninsula Football Association 1923 season. In its second premiership in a row, Maitland defeated Ardrossan - 6 goals 7 behinds, 43 points to 5 goals, 7 behinds, 37 points.

The Maitland Football Club was a foundation member of the Northern Yorke Peninsula (later Yorke Valley) Football Association in 1910. Playing in Maitland, the club contested 26 grand finals, winning 15. In 1997, by then a member of the Yorke Peninsula Football League, the club amalgamated with Arthurton to form the Central Yorke Peninsula Football Club.
