Description :

Venue: Port Vincent, Dec. 26th '75 to Jan. 3rd. '76; presented by Port Vincent Sailing Club sponsored by Coca-Cola

The International 505 is an exciting two-person, high-performance sailing dinghy, raced in over 20 countries on 5 continents. Highly competitive, and a non-Olympic class the dinghies carry a spinnaker and a large sail plan providing good competitive tactical racing.

The South Australian fleet is based at Port Vincent and Adelaide: in March 2008 five boats sailed out of Port Vincent.

The National Championships are rotated around Australian sailing clubs: in South Australia the Brighton Club has hosted the majority of the competitions, but Port Lincoln as well as Port Vincent have also hosted the event.
