Description :

Vern and Fay Hallam were soldier settlers at Loxton after the Second World War. During the War Vern served in the Royal Australian Air Force and Fay in the Land Army. In the selections presented here they talk about how they found out about the soldier settlement scheme, daily life on the fruit block, the quality of the trees provided for the soldier settlers, irrigation methods and crops.
