Description :

The PS Marionbegan her life in the late 1890s as a general trade paddle steamer on the River Murray. She was refitted in 1908 to become a passenger steamer, offering return trips from Murray Bridge to Renmark to tourists. The Marionwas all but abandoned in the 1940s, but was purchased by the National Trust in 1963 and was refurbished and installed as a floating museum and part of the Mannum Dock Museum. The Marionstill takes cruises several times a year.

This footage was taken during the 'last voyage of the Marion' in 1963 when the National Trust took her from Berri to her new home at Mannum Dock.
