Description :

Extract from a letter dated 22 September 1839 by Thomas Roberts of Adelaide to his family in Perranarworthal, Cornwall, informing them of his safe arrival in South Australia and his progress. Roberts reports that There is every prospect for steady men to do well here. This letter was published in the South Australian Colonist 19 May 1840.
