Description :

The Earl of Leicester Hotel, Leicester Street, Parkside, was built for Henry Pope who was the licensee until 1894. The architects were English & Soward and the contractor William Ling. The Earl, a two storey pub constructed of bluestone was built in 1886. Externally it has retained much of its original appearance; internally despite extensive renovation it evokes the 19th century with the use of exposed timber, leadlighting and open fireplaces.

The Earl of Leicester is today still a thriving pub.
