Description :
From 1948 many Lithuanian immigrants have made their home in South Australia. In 1960 as Lithuanian Charities Inc. a group of Lithuanian South Australians purchased the former Hardwicke College at St Peter's, Adelaide, and restored the building to become the Lithuanian Catholic Centre. As well as classrooms, conference rooms and accommodation, a chapel was dedicated to St Casimir, the 15th century Polish prince and patron saint of Lithuania. Five windows representative of the five dioceses that make up the Church of Lithuania were installed in the chapel.
