Snow fall in Peterborough, known as Petersburg until the Nomenclature Act of 1917.

Yongala, 11 kilometres south of Peterborough, holds South Australia's three top records for minimum temperatures with minus 8.2°C in July 1976; minus 8.1°C in June 1959 and minus 7.9°C in July 1958. - Peterborough Tourist Promotion Association
