Description :

Lobethal is a small town in the Adelaide Hills, about 30 kilometres from Adelaide. From a tradition that began in the 1940s, the shops and homes of Lobethal are lit with festive lights during the Christmas season. A formal festival grew out of this in the 1990s and includes an official lighting ceremony and the staging of the Lobethal Christmas pageant.

This newspaper article describes the display expected for Christmas 2001.
