Description :

Also known as a Crested Parrot or Quarrion, the Cockatiel (Nymphicus hollandicus) is found throughout inland Australia. Feeds upon the seeds of grasses and herbaceous plants and nests in a hole of a tree or stump. The bird is migratory in its southern range congregating in pairs or flocks.

It is readily domesticated. A Fauna Permit is required to take the bird from the wild.
