Highlights of the 1972 Grand Final at the Adelaide Oval that saw North Adelaide (the Roosters) 19.14 (128) defeat Port Adelaide (the Magpies) 10.12 (72) before a crowd of 55,709.

Includes pre-game interviews with coaches Mike 'Swamp Fox' Patterson from North and Port's Fos Williams as well as excerpts from the 3/4 time talk of both coaches.

Playing on the day were such greats as North's Barrie Robran, Bob Hammond, Darryl Webb, Dennis Sachse, Terry von Bertouch, Barry Stringer and Garry Sporn and Port's Russell Ebert, John Cahill, Peter Woite, Bruce Light and Brian Cunningham.

Two weeks later the 'Roosters' went on to defeat Victorian Football League premiers Carlton by one point at Adelaide Oval to become the 'Champions of Australia'.
