Description :

My parents were Thomas Harris and Nancy Maud Buckerfield jnr (nee Randall) who are buried in the Glen Osmond Anglican cemetery.

My paternal grandparents were Thomas Harris and Florence Elvira Buckerfield snr. (nee Horton) who are also buried in this cemetery.

The Buckerfields, the Hortons, the Randalls, the Kohls and the Godfrey's all emigrated to South Australia as free settlers in the late 1800's and are some of the people who contributed to this state.

The Linden Park Primary School is situated on land previously owned by my grandfather (dairy and market garden land) and the oval in Mariner Street was land owned by the Horton family. Both these families had dairy farms in this area. In fact most of the older homes in lower Hay Road were built by the extended Horton families.

Place : Linden Park South Australia (Glen Osmond in early days)
