Grape Pickers from Yalumba Vineyards. Samuel Smith was employed by pioneer George Fife Angas at his Angaston property around 1848. In 1849 Smith purchased his own land and named the property 'Yalumba'. He planted a vineyard and produced the first wine from his grapes in 1853. |
