Description :

Devil's Peak overlooking Pichi Richi Pass. The peak is 670 metres above sea level.

Alfred Sells was an Anglican clergyman from England who arrived in South Australia in May 1877. He became the Incumbent of Holy Trinity Church at Lyndoch and it is believed that during his time there he created the original drawings for a series of watercolours which were completed in England in 1898. Sells was later the Incumbent at St Michael's Church at Mitcham for four years from February 1884. He returned to England in 1888.
