Description :

Copper printing plate advertising JA Holden & Co. and featuring an engraving of the company's premises on Grenfell Street, Adelaide.

When James Holden first established his saddlery business in 1856 it was at a site in King William Street. As the company expanded a larger building was required and premises in Gawler Place and Rundle Street were occupied. In 1880 they moved into this impressive Grenfell Street building.
