Description :

Report of the opening of the Women's Information Switchboard by Don Dunstan on 10 July 1978. The Switchboard operated from Institute Building on North Terrace. Pamela Verrall, a Switchboard advisor, is photographed on the telephone.

Women's Information Switchboard changed its name to Women's Information Service in 1995. In 2007 Women's Information Service operates from offices in Chesser House, 91-97 Grenfell Street Adelaide, telephone 8303 0590, or tollfree within South Australia 1800 188 158.
