From the Advertiser, 23 August 1938.

Update from press correspondent AC Kinnear reporting on the progress of a South Australian Government expedition sent to the Simpson Desert to search for possible remains of explorer Ludwig Leichhardt.


Describes the party's journey from Moorilperina water hole to a campsite 16 miles north-west of their intended destination.

Mention is given to the 'Hot Air Club' an association for operators of radio transceivers in the Northern Territory. Grenfell Price received membership of the club after regaling listeners with an entertaining account of the Leichhardt expedition.
