Two appendices from Compulsory military training : the South Australian debate, 1901-1914, by Michael T Shepherd. In the first extract, Shepherd gives a description of the court case of the Size brothers who were charged with offences against the Defence Act. In the second extract, he describes a public meeting held at Adelaide Town Hall, 21 October 1912, to discuss the Defence Act 1911. |
