Port Augusta : Personal experiences

The State Library holds a number of accounts of personal experiences of people who lived or were connected to Port Augusta in some way. Some of these reminiscences include published works such as I live in Port Augusta, and donated archival material including Captain Dowsett's journal of the Yatala in 1852 and Lillian Zanker's reminiscences of her time at the Port Augusta hospital, as well as oral histories of which excerpts are presented here. The various formats presented recall and remember the personal Port Augusta experience.

If you have some stories which you would like to share you can submit them to SA Memory through Your Story (found under the My SA Memory menu).
