Description :

Panoramic view of the vineyards in the Barossa Valley, noted for vines and fruit.

The Barossa was settled primarily by Lutheran dissidents from Prussia and British middle-class settlers. Both groups contributed to the establishment of viticulture and oenology in the area. The Prussians brought with them European traditions of wine-making and the English had the commercial interests to market South Australian wine to the wealthy of the United Kingdom.
