Carnevale in Adelaide was established in 1976. It was then known as the Italian Festival. The Co-ordinating Italian Committee, an umbrella organisation of Italian clubs and associations throughout the State, stages the festival.
The Carnevale in Adelaide's program encompasses music, performances and activities for children, dance, comedy, a Mr and Miss Carnevale competition, fireworks, food and drink, cooking demonstrations, Italian cars on display, fashion parades, the national sausage making competition, cultural and educational pavilions and screenings of Italian films and documentaries. |
