The Funny Business Comedy Festival was held in 1996 and 1997. It was hailed as 'Adelaide's first international comedy festival'. Events during the Festival included live comedy shows, 'Lark in the Park' - a picnic held in Rymill Park featuring performers from the festival, the 'Make Me Laugh' award for the best new comic talent and the 'International Yarn Spinning Challenge.' Performers at the Festival included Greg Fleet, Matt King, Anthony Ackroyd, Dave Johns, John Fothergill and Adam Hills. |
