Poster advertising Writers' Week, 3-8 March 2002 which includes a list of contributing writers. Writers' Week is a component of the Adelaide Festival of Arts. It is the oldest of Australia's literary festivals and entrance to the sessions is free. Writers and publishers discuss all aspects of books and reading through a program of panel discussions, lectures and readings. Presentations of literary awards and launches of new titles also take place during the week. Past guests at Writers' Week include David Malouf, Michael Ondaatje, Armistead Maupin, Frank Moorhouse, Michael Frayn, Claire Tomalin, Fay Weldon, Robert Drewe, Salman Rushdie, Bernard Schlink, Rose Tremain and Arundhati Roy. |
