Description : |
Irene Bell, nee Lindsay, was born in Alberton, South Australia and spent all her life in the western suburbs. These extracts from the interview focus her involvement from the 1950s onwards in the public arena through women's organisations, in particular the Union of Australian Women and the International Women's Day Committee. Mrs Bell then provides frank insights into the organisation and objectives of the women's groups with which she was involved. |
