International Women's Day Committee life member's badge awarded to Irene Jessie May Bell, OAM. Irene was a member of the Union of Australian Women from 1951 to 1969, resigning when the Soviet Union invaded Czechoslovakia. A delegate to the International Women's Day Committee she served as its secretary from 1960 to 1994. |
