Description : |
In the 1930s, the South Australian Government Publicity and Tourist Bureau produced a number of striking travel posters highlighting tourist destinations in this state, to attract national and international visitors. This poster encouraging a 'Murray trip' was designed by John Charles Goodchild. When Goodchild returned from service in the First World War, he studied at the South Australian School of Art and Crafts and later at London School of Arts and Crafts. He was an official war artist for Australia in the Second World War. This item is reproduced courtesy of South Australian Tourism Commission. |
