Description : |
Following the visits to Australia of Emilia Baeyertz, Margaret Hampson arrived in Adelaide in July 1883 for a series of mission meetings. With her husband, Mrs Hampson had preached to crowded house in Liverpool for twenty years. After the death of her husband she went to live in New Zealand where she continued to preach. Hundreds attended her meetings in the Adelaide Town Hall. This was during a brief period when there were sharp increases in church membership, and there was much excitement in church circles. |
