Described by Vic Conrad in Underground in the city of churches (p 39) as a 'party band, we play our favourite songs from the sixties'. The Dust collection were active in Adelaide from 1984 to 1987 and put out one single with GPR, 10 till 13 o'clock b/w with Green (when she says) and The Light Members of the Dust Collection were Scott Allen (guitar), Rohan Belton (bass, vocals), Gerry Barrett (guitar), Vic Conrad (aka Travis Underdog and Vic Flierl) (vocals, guitar, keyboard), and Andrew Geue (drums) Mark Emmett (guitar), Paul Jolly (bass). Conrad and Belton were concurrently in The Garden Path. They were selected in 1985 to be included in the Sydney station's 2JJJFM (now known as ABC's JJJ) Cooking with George second edition compilation album with the song So sad today. After the Dust Collection various band members went on to form and play in other bands. Rohan Belton, who had previously been in The Verge, went on to play in the Handmedowns, and is currently active in Queensland in a band called Trailer Park. Vic Conrad continued with the Garden Path and now records and performs with Vic Conrad and the First Third. Barrett, who had been with Del Web Explosion, was also in the original lineup of the Exploding White Mice. |
