Description : |
Tracks: This place -- Into the clouds -- Times (out of mind) -- 5 reasons -- What do you want to hear -- Strangers -- 5000 miles -- Little pieces Described by Spencer as 'atmospheric, moody indie pop'. The Garden Path started when Vic Flierl from the defunct Fools Apart joined with Rohan Belton from The Verge and Graeme Burdett, guitarist from the Screaming Believers. The band came to the public's attention in Adelaide through winning a place with their song Night and Day on the Brewing mini album, a competition organised by radio station SAFM during 1985 to highlight local talent. They were selected in 1985 to be included in the Sydney station's 2JJJFM (now known as ABC's JJJ) Cooking with George, second edition compilation album with two songs What do you want to hear and Times [out of mind]. The Garden Path was active between 1984-1991. The original line up consisted of Vic Conrad (Flierl) guitar and vocals, Colin Gellard on bass, drummer Terry Aldridge, Rohan Belton, keyboards and Graham Burdett on lead guitar. As some of these players left the band they were replaced with David Lokan lead guitar, Craig Rodda drums and Charles Derek, keyboards. Discography: Album 5 reasons released by Greasy Pop in 1986 |
