Tracks: In shadow -- Never have to choose -- One look -- Single reason -- Truth Were in existence from 1988 through to 1991. They only released one recording in 1990 a mini album titled Love and Sleep . David Sly (The Advertiser August 1990) desribes The Artisans sound as 'a busy jangly guitar pop sound' and describes the two tracks on this album In shadow and Single Reason as 'highly reminiscent of The Smiths'. The line up for The Artisans consisted of: Gerry Wedd, vocals ; David Lock, drums & vocals ; Brett Bennet, guitar, Paul Arbon, bass ; Mark Kimber, guitars ; Jim Tsinganos, harmonica ; Adam McBeath, guitars; George Wedd,k eyboard. |
