Description :

Sketch in fine pencil on paper of the gardener's cottage and bridge across the Torrens on the grounds of Government House, Adelaide. The artist has paid close attention to the details of the hut and its thatched roof. The flora and landscape are well described, with two young girls wearing bonnets and two guards with dogs in the foreground.
