Saltbush vegetation on the Nullarbor Plain. The Nullarbor Plain is a vast, treeless, flat, limestone plain covering 270,000 square kilometres. Various types of saltbush (ruby, small, thorny and spiny) grow in the low shrubland of the Nullarbor. Also common are species of bluebush (rosy, pearl and top fruit).
