Poster advertising the High Beam Festival held 1-10 May 1998 stating the Festival 'highlights the creative abilities of people with a disability'.


The High Beam Festival is a biennial festival of arts showcasing work inspired by the experience of being a person with a disability. The Festival aims to promote disabled artists and represent the experience of living with a disability through art. The Festival program includes the High Beam Awards for Literature and Music, debates, workshops, community events, performances of music and theatre and visual arts exhibitions.

Past performers at the festival include David Helfcott and the Wheelchair Dancers from Nepal.
