The Feast Festival is Adelaide's lesbian and gay cultural festival. The festival also embraces the transgender and queer communities. Established in 1997, it incorporates a strong visual arts program, comedy, theatre, drag, forums, music, tours and outings, history walks and the gay and lesbian picnic in the park. The picnic and some other events are specifically designed to encourage the inclusion of family and friends and the wider community. Past artists at the Feast Festival include Lesbians Au Go Go, Queer Cabaret, Combo Fiasco, Fruit, Miz Ima Starr, The Velvet Janes and Brooke Vogt. |
