Poster advertising 'Three Cities: Between the wars' performed by the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra and featuring the singer Robyn Archer. Robyn Archer is one of Australia's best-known proponents of German cabaret music. She is a specialist in the works of Bertolt Brecht, Kurt Weill and Hanns Eisler and Weimar culture. Archer also writes her own material and is a director. She was artistic director of the Adelaide Festival of Arts in 1998 and 2000.
The Adelaide Symphony Orchestra is the largest performing arts organisation in South Australia. The Orchestra is involved in around 100 performances a year, including its own shows and providing orchestral support for the performances of the State Opera of South Australia and the Adelaide performances of Opera Australia and the Australian Ballet. |
