Description :

On Friday 10 May 1996 a walk organised by Pride Action Network [PAN] was held to commemorate the 24th anniversay of the murder, on the 10th of May 1972, of Adelaide University law lecturer, Dr. George Duncan.

The walk proceeded from Bonython Hall, Adelaide University, to the banks of the Torrens Lake near the site of Dr Duncan's death. Following the walk a non-religious service was held, the President of the Gay and Lesbian Counselling Service, Jenny Scott, spoke, and a wreath laying ceremony was performed; with one of two wreaths being placed in the Torrens Lake by Don Dunstan.
