Description :

The site for a new reservoir at Pekina, near Orroroo. The reservoir was commissioned in 1911 with further work undertaken in 1914 to give a storage capacity of 1540 mega litres. It was estimated by the Lands Department that this volume of water could irrigate an area of 140 hectares for pasture and dairy use.
