Description : |
View of the north side of Grenfell Street, Adelaide, showing Harris Scarfe premises. The photograph was taken on 12 April 1926. The company G. P. Harris, Scarfe and Co. was created by the business partnership established in 1866 by George Harris, George Scarfe and Richard Smith. Harris and Scarfe had each formerly had their own ironmongery businesses. The company occupied premises in Grenfell Street from 1877 and Harris Scarfe's still trades from a store in Grenfell Street today. |
