Front cover of Geo. P. Harris, Scarfe & Co's tool catalogue which advertises 'tools for all trades' and urges customers to 'Hold us firm in your memories'. Harris Scarfe was founded by two iron mongers, George Harris and George Scarfe, and a third businessman Richard Smith in 1866. By the 1920s the company had expanded its product range to include farm and garden implements, buggyware, tools, hardware and homeware. |
